The project
TEOGONIA is an artistic project developed by Davide Martiello & Federico Niccolai.
It reflects on mythology through the interaction beetween visuals and music in real time.
Teogonia integrates the worlds of electronic pop, experimental music and machine-generated reality into an interdisciplinary path.
The adopted creative process requires musical composition to go hand in hand with visual production.
The sonic component is developed by expanding the expressive possibilities of the electric guitar, reworking the processed sound material through analog and digital synthesis.
Published works
TEOGONIA is a multimedia show. For each audio track, there is a corresponding virtual world explored in real time during live performances.
To date, two albums have been released.
The live exhibition can takes place as:
1. Live electronics + video (Martiello at electronics and VJ by Niccolai);
2. Concert + video (Martiello at electronics and guitar, Halilaj at drums and VJ by Niccolai).
The venue for the performances requires:
1. One or more projectors for video or video mapping, depending on availability;
2. A quadraphonic live music sound system to be set up around the audience area, depending on availability.
The collective
The Teogonia collective was founded in 2021 from the convergence of the artistic pursuits of Davide Martiello and Federico Niccolai.
Currently, Teogonia’s official lineup also includes the artist Mariglen Halilaj.
